Stripey is all about creativity, our products aim to encourage, unlock and enhance it and it is the core of everything we do. Formed in 2009, the founder has over 12 years experience of designing, developing and delivering award winning software tools, apps and online content for youngsters. As well as developing our own products (check out Anithings, our first) we create lovely stuff for other companies.

Peak District

Where? Stripey is based in the city of Sheffield on the edge of the beautiful Peak District, the UK’s first national park.

What?

We are a modest bunch, but even we are proud of some of the things we have done. Here are a few of our favourites:

Anithings Reviews

Reviews
Anithings - our first product - was developed in conjunction with teachers and children. We undertook extensive user testing at all stages of product development and had some great fun meeting some brilliant children who were not afraid to say what they loved and what should be changed. As well as this rewarding feedback from our users we were delighted to get some fabulous reviews

“This resource has bags full of 'smile factor' and continues to be motivating and open ended enough to keep kids interested and learning. It allows children to focus on creativity, rather than battling against a complex interface, and gives them the opportunity to share their enthusiasm with the world”
Teach Primary Magazine

“I think that the huge charm of Anithings lies in the simplicity of the characters that can be created, the ease with which backgrounds can be created and coloured and the speech bubbles that can be added to narrate a story. Above all, what I like about Anithings is its completely intuitive approach so you end up thinking: "This is how animation software should work".

Bett Awards Finalist

Awards
We were excited and overwhelmed to hear that Both Anithings and Just2easy Infant Toolkit have been selected as finalists for the 2011 Bett awards, the most respected and prestigious in the Education Technology Industry. Anithings has been short-listed in the Tools for Teaching and Learning category, and Just2easy Infant Toolkit is in the Primary content category. The awards are to be announced at a very posh dinner in January, we will be frantically dusting down our tuxs and posh frocks between now and then.

Education Resourse Awards 2010

Anithings was shortlisted for a prestigious education resource award in 2010, presented at the Education Show at the NEC. We were very proud for the product to gain this level of recognition in its first year (plus we got to dust off our posh clobber for the awards dinner)

Just2Easy Infant Toolkit

London Grid For Learning chooses our Infant Toolkit
We were delighted when earlier this year the London Grid For Learning decided to purchase Just2Easy Infant Tools to embed into their London-wide learning platform. It is very rewarding to have so many users of a product that we have designed and developed and we are excited about seeing what the children create with the product and also the new product features coming very soon.
